BBC antiques expert Natasha Raskin Sharp, known for Bargain Hunt, Flog It!, Antiques Road Trip, and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip since 2014, resides in Glasgow with her husband Joe Sharp and their daughter Jean, born in 2024. Her father is renowned landscape artist Philip Raskin.
Early Life and Education
Born in Glasgow in 1986, Natasha initially studied law at the University of Leeds but switched to art history at the University of Glasgow. She later interned at the Alice Temperley fashion house in London.
Political and Auction House Experience
In 2008, she worked on Barack Obama's primary campaign in New Hampshire, where she met Obama. She told the Sunday Post: 'I was only there for three months, and he came to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, when I happened to be there. I was so lucky... He was asked to sign a letterheaded paper when it happened to come through the printer with a very generic reference for me.' After returning to Scotland, she joined McTear's auction house, focusing on contemporary Scottish art.
Television and Radio Career
Natasha balances TV work with a weekly radio show on BBC Radio Scotland, Thursdays from 10pm. She met producer Joe Sharp in 2013 while filming Celebrity Antiques Road Trip; they married in 2016. The family of three lives in Glasgow, and Natasha shares updates with her 39,000 Instagram followers.
