Apple Martin Stars on Perfect Magazine Cover as She Denies School Bullying Claims
Apple Martin, the 21-year-old daughter of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, has showcased her inherited striking looks with a glamorous cover shoot for Perfect magazine. The model, who is studying at Vanderbilt University while launching her own fashion career, appears on the cover of the publication's 10th issue wearing an unbuttoned shirt and revealing hot pants.
Racy Photoshoot and Fashion Ambitions
The eye-catching image, photographed by Carin Backoff, features Apple posing with an electric curler wrapped around her hair, cementing her rising profile in the fashion world. Her stardom received a significant boost when she was announced as a brand ambassador for Self-Portrait, starting in September 2025. This move highlights her deliberate steps to carve out a path in the industry, distinct from her famous parents' careers in music and acting.
Addressing Bullying Allegations Head-On
Recently, Apple made headlines not just for her modelling work, but for addressing persistent rumours about her expulsion from school due to bullying. Last week, she took to her Instagram Stories to firmly deny these claims, calling them 'completely untrue'. In a re-shared comment, she wrote, 'Hi! I didn't wanna respond but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand.'
She elaborated, stating, 'I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone. I completely understand ppl not liking me and that is okay! The internet is a place where ppl can share their opinions. But this rumor is completely untrue, I am not that type of person and anyone who is close to me knows that.'
Past Controversies and Source Defences
These denials follow a 2024 incident where Apple faced bullying accusations after a video from the Le Bal des Debutantes in Paris appeared to show her attempting to crash another debutante's photo shoot and rolling her eyes at her date, Count Leo Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck. The footage went viral, sparking online speculation about her behaviour.
However, a source close to Gwyneth Paltrow defended Apple to DailyMail.com, describing her as a 'girls' girl' rather than a 'mean girl'. The source insisted, 'Apple's more playful and fun and she's really a total girls' girl. She would never mean to take the spotlight from anyone, that was not her intention. To characterise her as a mean girl is very untrue.'
Regarding the eye-rolling incident, the source explained that Apple and her date had a 'good rapport', with their interactions being playful and in jest due to constant camera attention throughout the event.
Academic and Career Aspirations
Beyond the controversies, Apple is focused on her studies and future plans. She is set to graduate from Vanderbilt University in May with a degree in law, history, and society. Reflecting on her earlier interest in law school, she admitted, 'I was in that rebellious "I don't wanna be like my parents" type of phase.'
While she has ruled out following her father into music, saying, 'I don't wanna be a singer. I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying,' she has expressed a passion for acting. Apple revealed, 'I love dancing and I love acting. My dream is to act,' indicating a potential shift towards the entertainment industry like her mother.
As she balances university life with a burgeoning fashion career, Apple Martin continues to navigate public scrutiny while establishing her own identity in the spotlight.
