Ant McPartlin rages at Lime e-bikes, kicks them down

Ant McPartlin has expressed his fury over the proliferation of Lime e-bikes in London, revealing that his step-daughters teased him about having "anger issues" after he kicked over a row of the bikes. The 50-year-old Britain's Got Talent host made the admission on the Hanging Out podcast with Declan Donnelly.

McPartlin told Donnelly that he had used a Lime bike himself, but became enraged when people repeatedly parked them outside his Wimbledon home. "I got so angry and one day, I kicked them all down," he said. "I got told I had anger issues by the kids. I don't have anger issues. I was just angry at the people who kept leaving them."

Step-daughters' reaction and move to Surrey

McPartlin's step-daughters, Poppy and Daisy, from his wife Anne-Marie Corbett's previous marriage, witnessed the incident and joked about his temper. The TV presenter clarified that his frustration was directed at the inconsiderate users, not the bikes themselves.

The couple traded their £6 million Wimbledon home for a £10 million mansion in Surrey in February, a move McPartlin jokingly attributed to the bike problem. "I had to move out of London because people were parking bikes outside of my house," he said with a laugh.

Fatherhood and personal growth

McPartlin, who shares two-year-old son Wilder with Anne-Marie, reflected on how fatherhood has changed him for the better. "It changes you for the better. All of the sleepless nights, the early mornings, the tiredness is worth it," he told Donnelly. He also admitted he would consider having more children, saying, "I'd have loads more kids. I mean, I'm too tired, but I would have more kids."

The star's marriage to Anne-Marie Corbett in 2023 followed his divorce from Lisa Armstrong in 2018, after more than a decade together.
