Angryginge quits Bov Boys, fans devastated

I'm A Celebrity winner Angryginge has announced he is leaving the YouTube group the Bov Boys, a decision that has left many fans of the online collective heartbroken.

The 24-year-old content creator, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, shared the news on the Bov Boys Instagram account, thanking fans and his fellow members for the memories they created together.

Departure announced on Instagram

In a statement posted to the group's Instagram page, Ginge told followers: "Well hello there, I know this isn't the news you were expecting; however, it's the news that is here.

"Before I go any further, I just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for all the love for the BOV Boys these last 12-18 months. Without you, the memories, support, and love wouldn't have been the same."

The Bov Boys were formed in 2025 and consist of Tays, Heinz Baines, Jakey Davies and NYKChazza. The group has built a large following since joining forces.

"This is the END for me and BOV"

Ginge added: "The BOV Boys themselves are my brothers for life, and I love them all as one. But in life, you never know where your story ends, and for me and BOV, the story ends here.

"It's been an amazing time, with memories I will take to my grave, from Benidorm to our first-ever recording in London. Although this is the END for me and BOV, the love and the friendships go on!"

He continued: "I'll still be with the boys most days on stream and sharing memories every week as usual. This hasn't been an easy decision, but the boys will smash it without me and maybe you'll prefer it LOL (Means laugh if funny).

"I'm wishing them nothing but the best of luck. Thank you for everything, but remember, this isn't goodbye; it's a see you later."

The upload, which had been liked almost 138,000 times at the time of publication, was soon flooded with comments from fans. One asked "Why tho?", while another wrote "First KSI and now this… idk [I don't know] if I can take it anymore." A third commented "I'm sobbing, good luck Ginge," and a fourth said "Year officially ruined, won't be the same without you ginge."

Heinz pays tribute

Heinz later shared photos of himself and Ginge from their time together, captioning the post: "RIP AngryGinge13. 2026 GBNF."

Six years after his first stream, Ginge previously told the Mirror about his career: "I believed in myself that I could maybe do content full-time.

"I never thought for one minute I'd go into the jungle or be playing Soccer Aid. I obviously aimed for the Sidemen matches; that was in my sort of content world. But no, I'm still shocked to look back and look at the things I've managed to do; it's still mind-blowing to me. I think it also just shows the power of social media and the power that if you are true to yourself, you can achieve what you want to achieve – there's no limit."

There had been speculation that Ginge could leave the Bov Boys after appearing on I'm A Celebrity, which he later won. During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Tays and Jakey were asked directly about the possibility, with anchor Ed Balls asking: "If he wins, is he still going to be a Bov Boy? Or do you think he might decide to leave it behind and go on to bigger things?" Jakey responded: "Oh I really hope not."
