Andrew Lincoln Bans His Kids From Watching The Walking Dead

Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on AMC's 'The Walking Dead', has revealed that he does not allow his children to watch the show. The actor, who is leaving the series after almost a decade, said the show is too violent for his young kids.

Lincoln confirmed his departure during the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con. He told EW Radio that he wants to spend more time with his wife and two children in England, as the show's filming in Georgia makes it difficult to see them. 'I have two young children, and I live in a different country, and they become less portable as they get older,' he said. 'It was that simple. It was time for me to come home.'

Co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan described Lincoln as 'the leader' of the cast, adding, 'Andy has always been the guy, and the show is going to miss him, we’re going to miss him. It’s going to be a different vibe, there’s no replacing him.' Norman Reedus likened Lincoln to a 'quarterback', noting their daily routine of phone calls and meetings.
