Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais in hospital after panic attack
Anais Gallagher hospitalised after panic attack

Anais Gallagher, daughter of musician Noel Gallagher, has revealed she was taken to hospital after a panic attack at a cinema in Leicester Square left her struggling to breathe for almost two days.

The 26-year-old model, whose mother is Meg Matthews, said she suffered the attack while attending a screening of the film Verity when police officers entered the screen with torches. She described the incident in her latest YouTube video, explaining that her anxiety overwhelmed her to the point that she had to leave the venue.

Panic Attack at the Cinema

Anais said the ordeal began when officers entered the screening room. "I genuinely had a panic attack," she said in the clip. "I was really struggling to breathe. Like 40 hours later, I was still struggling to fully breathe."

She added: "I was sat there having my popcorn in the cinema in Leicester Square and then five or six policemen come into the cinema room with torches."

She said she has anxiety at the cinema regularly, stating: "I have anxiety at the cinema all the time anyway because I am always terrified something's going to happen. But it stressed me out so much that I had to leave. I had to go. It was too much for me to handle."

Hospital Visit and Ongoing Symptoms

Anais explained that the physical symptoms continued after she returned home, prompting her to seek medical help. "I was having problems breathing after the cinema thing, which is going to sound so crazy. So I went to the hospital and they listened to my lungs, they listened to my heart, they X-rayed my lungs," she said.

She also spoke about her long-standing fear, saying: "I've always had a fear that some f****r is in the cinema and when they came in to look in the cinema for someone, I was like, see, bad people do go and hide in the cinema. So when something like that happens, it's kind of the worst thing ever because it just reaffirms my belief that bad things do happen."

Family History of Panic Attacks

Anais is not alone in experiencing such episodes. Her father Noel has previously spoken about his own struggles with panic attacks, which he linked to heavy cocaine use. He told Matt Morgan's Funny How? podcast that he took cocaine every night for four years, which caused "brutal panic attacks" and led him to check into hospital once.

"I did have to check into hospital once. Imagine having the psychosis and having to have to go to hospital," he said. "They don't understand a word you're saying because of your accent and you're like 'I think I am on my way out'. I had a few brutal panic attacks, which is why I quit."
