Amy Winehouse's Haunting Final Words Revealed

Amy Winehouse tragically died from alcohol poisoning in July 2011 at the age of 27. An inquest revealed that the singer had resumed drinking just three days before her death, after a period of sobriety. Her GP, Dr Christina Romete, testified that Winehouse admitted to falling off the wagon and, when asked about quitting again, replied, 'I don't know.'

Dr Romete had prescribed Librium to help with withdrawal symptoms, but Winehouse refused mental health support, fearing it would affect her creativity. The doctor described her as 'one of the most intelligent young women I've ever met' and noted that she appeared 'calm and somewhat guilty' on the night before her death.

In a heartbreaking confession, Winehouse told Dr Romete, 'I don't want to die.' The inquest recorded a verdict of death by misadventure, with a blood alcohol level of 416mg per 100ml, well above the fatal threshold of 350mg. Three empty vodka bottles were found in her Camden flat.

Winehouse's father, Mitch, has since claimed that her spirit visits him, often sitting on the end of his bed. He also believes she has appeared as a blackbird, similar to one she had tattooed on her arm.
