Hollywood actress and model Amy Jackson-Westwick was soaking up the atmosphere at Anfield this weekend. The 34-year-old, who grew up in Liverpool, visited the home of the Reds with her son Andreas (Dre).
Jackson-Westwick, who recently walked at Paris Fashion Week, began her acting career in India in 2010. She is married to Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick, who played Chuck Bass on the hit American sitcom. The couple share one child together, son Oscar Westwick.
A special day at Anfield
The actress returned to her roots on Sunday to watch a game at Anfield. She was in attendance with her eldest son Dre, whom she shares with ex-partner George Panayiotou. Dre was dressed in a Liverpool FC kit, with his name and number seven on the back.
Amy shared some photos from the special day on Sunday to her 13 million followers on Instagram, including the moment the mum and son were able to go onto the pitch while the players were warming up.
She said: "We love you Liverpool, we do. Nothing quite like the atmosphere at Anfield [red love heart]. The passion, the noise, the Kop… there’s just no club like it!"
"The BEST mum and son date EVER with my little Red ( and Dre meeting his all-time favourite, Stevie G, made his ((and my!!)) day ) Thank you @liverpoolfc & Amy for looking after us - you’re the absolute BEST."
Meeting Steven Gerrard
Amy shared a video from inside the stadium, as the crowds sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" ahead of the match against Manchester City. She also shared a snap of Dre with Steven Gerrard.
Taking to the comments, one fan said: "Wowww Stevie G and Dre" and Amy replied and said: "He was so happy babe!!!" Another follower wrote: "Love this" with red heart emojis.
TV star Stacey Dooley, who refers to herself as an "adopted Scouser" also added to the comments as she said: "YNWA". Stacey has been open about her love for Liverpool in the past, explaining it feels more like home than her birthplace.
Speaking on the Home Again podcast recently, she said: "Scousers really are the best. London's brilliant, and I love the South, and that's where I grew up, but I do feel at home in Liverpool."
"It's very bizarre, [because...] I feel more at home in Liverpool than I ever did in Luton, which sounds bonkers, doesn't it? But I think because it's my maternal side, I just love Liverpool, and it felt like coming home, and I'm so pleased that my daughter will be brought up Scouse."
Back to her roots
Amy Jackson was born on the Isle of Man, but her parents were from Liverpool and she moved to the city when she was two years old. Amy lived with her grandma in Woolton as her dad worked for BBC Radio Merseyside.
In 2009, she won the title of Miss Teen World after winning Miss Teen Liverpool. She attended St Edward's College in West Derby and was due to sit her A-levels, before she was cast in her first film in 2010.
Indian film producers spotted Jackson's photo on the Miss Teen World website and invited her to audition for the Tamil period-drama film Madrasapattinam. Despite having had no previous acting experience, she was cast as the female lead.
She spent most of her time in India, but is now back living in the UK with her husband and two children. Ed and Amy first met in 2021 at Silverstone Racetrack and fell for each other instantly.
