Alison Hammond Injures Wrist After Fall Following Panic Attack
Alison Hammond Injures Wrist After Fall

Alison Hammond has revealed she injured her wrist and has been wearing a support, just weeks after she left This Morning on-air after suffering a panic attack. The presenter, 51, appeared on Friday's episode, October 16, with a support on her wrist, dancing around the set.

What Happened to Alison's Wrist?

“I know what you're all thinking, what is that on Alison's hand?,” she told viewers at home. Co-host Dermot O'Leary said: “Can we go one week without some sort of crisis? No this isn't an MJ [Michael Jackson] style, this is because... what happened?”

She explained: “I was doing a little TikTok with my friend and basically there was a rock in the middle of the floor and I didn't see it because I had sunglasses on.” O'Leary, who has seen the video and revealed it was a “proper plant”, asked her what the rock was doing on the floor.

Details of the Fall

Hammond said it was a “decorative” rock that had been placed on the roof she was stood on, and as she was blinded by the light, she didn't see it and tripped. She said she is a “little bit injured” but is overall doing fine, as she showed off her new accessory.

“I think it looks sick!,” she laughed and commenced the show, kicking it off with a dance to PJ & Duncan's “Let's Get Ready to Rumble” and she began dancing.

Previous Health Scare

After leaving the show two weeks ago, Hammond said she had initially feared she was having a heart attack after struggling to catch her breath. She thanked those who had sent messages of support and praised colleagues for looking after her.

“All I can say is, at that moment, it was probably one of the scariest things that I've ever been through. It was surreal,” she said, comparing it to being in Stranger Things’ alternative dimension, known as the Upside Down. “It was the first time I've ever experienced anything like that. Secondly, it was live on TV, so I thought, oh my gosh, my son might be watching, so I just ran. I ran off TV,” stressing that she would never do that normally.
