Demie, who has played Maddy Perez since 2019, clarified in a Hollywood Reporter interview that she is not quitting but is selective about her projects. She stated that her relaxed schedule does not indicate a lack of ambition, preferring to keep her career goals private.
The actress also mentioned past struggles finding roles for Hispanic backgrounds but affirmed her excitement for acting, particularly her role in Euphoria. “I like my life like this,” she said, emphasizing her contentment with her current pace.
