Cara Delevingne nearly had to cancel the first night of her tour after suffering a dental drama. The night before her gig in Berlin, Germany, on June 1, the 33-year-old model and actress had to undergo some 'pretty gross dental work' that could have derailed her performance.
Speaking onstage at silent green, she thanked a dentist named Dr Felix, saying: 'Without him, I wouldn’t have been able to do the show tonight because, I’m not going to go into it but I had some pretty gross dental work that had to be done very late at night.' She added that she would likely need to see him again after the show.
The tour continues with dates in London, Paris, Los Angeles and New York this month. Delevingne recently released debut singles 'I Forgot' and 'Out of My Head', accompanied by a seven-minute short film directed by Emmy winner Jessica Lee Gagné.
The tracks are the first preview of her debut album, due later this summer. 'I Forgot' was co-written with Trey Campbell and produced by BJ Burton, known for collaborations with Bon Iver and Charli XCX, pushing into darker, experimental territory with vulnerable lyrics about addiction and mental struggle.
Delevingne, who signed to Warner Music, described the leap into music as transformative: 'Music was always that dream I had, but never believed I would get the opportunity to create. Writing I Forgot felt like a rebirth for me and Out of My Head was like going to therapy.'
