Aggie MacKenzie Wished She Could Have Mended Friendship with Kim Woodburn

Aggie MacKenzie has revealed she dreamt of healing her broken relationship with the late Kim Woodburn, but the pair never spoke again after a backstage altercation in 2008. The 69-year-old TV personality, who co-presented Channel 4's How Clean Is Your House? with Woodburn from 2003 to 2009, expressed regret that they did not reconcile before Woodburn's death on Monday at the age of 83.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror, MacKenzie said: 'I have no memory of the last time I spoke to Kim. It was years and years ago. I did used to dream about Kim but I never actually saw her in real life again. The dreams were mostly about us making up and being friendly again.' She added that she wanted to be friends with the reality TV icon, but Woodburn was not interested in friendships.

The rift began during a pantomime performance of Cinderella in Brighton in January 2008, where the pair played the Ugly Sisters. Woodburn forgot a cue, and when MacKenzie tapped her on the shoulder, Woodburn pushed her to the floor. MacKenzie recalled: 'We did our scene but when we came out at the other side, Kim was furious. She pushed me. She actually pushed me so hard that I fell over. I lost it then. I really, really lost it with her.'

After the incident, Woodburn retreated to her dressing room in tears and threatened to pull out of the show, forcing an extended interval. However, she eventually returned to the stage. MacKenzie paid tribute to Woodburn on Tuesday, telling The Sun: 'Kim was a tormented soul, but now she’s finally at peace. We clashed often. Behind the fierce persona was deep pain and incredible strength.'
