Manchester-born actor Adam Thomas has been praised after he joined a stranger at a Luke Combs concert in London's Wembley. The former Emmerdale star admitted his nerves as he revealed he went to the gig with a competition winner.
Competition winner joined at Wembley
Adam, who announced earlier this year that his hot sauce brand, Oh My Glaze, was preparing for a relaunch, had set up a competition for someone to join him at one of Luke Combs' shows at Wembley. The brand, originally developed by Adam and his close friend Scott Graham, had previously had a pop-up stall at Manchester's Trafford Centre.
To celebrate the release of new flavours, and alongside Robyn McManus, Adam launched the competition in mid-July. Announcing it, the Waterloo Road actor said: "Launching @ohmyglaze has honestly been one of the best things I’ve ever done, and the support you’ve all shown us over the last few months has genuinely meant the world…So, instead of just saying thank you, I wanted to do something a little bit special… thanks to @exceleventsuk..."
Nerves and a memorable night
On Monday (August 3), Adam took to Instagram with an update, having headed to the gig with competition winner, Sarah. Speaking in his own vlog of the evening, he said: "I've arrived in London, now I'm off to meet Sarah, who won the free ticket to go and see Luke Combs at Wembley with me.
"I mean, I don't know why I get myself into these pickles, I've never met her before, she's never met me. I don't know how this night is going to unfold, but this is what life's all about, people - getting out there, meeting new people and living life to the full!"
Adam then carried out with his video, in which he admitted to being more nervous than Sarah was, before sharing how they both had nothing to worry about.
Fans respond with praise
Captioning the post, Adam wrote: "Oh My Glaze isn’t just a sauce it’s about bringing people together. Sarah won a Luke Combs ticket in our giveaway, and what started as a prize turned into a memory we’ll both never forget."
"A day filled with laughs, great music, good energy, and meeting someone new reminded me how being kind can create moments that last. Oh My Glaze, it’s about being kinder to yourself and to others. Life’s too short not to spread a bit of positivity. Thanks for an amazing day, Sarah here’s to many more moments like this."
