A great novel can transport you to places you’ve never been, take you on imaginary adventures across the globe and, just occasionally, inspire you to visit a literary location in real life. The Guardian is inviting readers to share a book that led to one of their favourite trips, whether far-flung or close to home.

How to Enter
Keep your tip to about 100 words. If you have a relevant photo, you may send it in, but your words will be judged for the competition. For legal reasons, you must be a UK resident to enter. The competition closes on Monday 20 July at 10am BST.
