Love Island: Lola and Sean Evicted After Sacrificing Place

Two Love Island stars have been compelled to quit the villa just weeks before the highly anticipated 2026 final. ITV viewers were left hanging on a devastating cliff-hanger on Friday (July 10) as the villa learned that one couple would be getting the boot, with Julia and Lorenzo handed the authority to choose.

It followed a public vote that crowned Lorenzo and Julia as the villa's most popular couple, though their triumph came with an agonising choice. They were given the task of eliminating either Samraj and Mica, Lola and Sean, or Martha and Jordon, who had garnered the weakest backing during the public vote.

Sean and Lola Offer to Sacrifice Themselves

Jasmine received a text at the beginning of Sunday's (July 12) episode, which directed the duo to go for a private chat to determine which couple's adventure would reach its conclusion, reports OK!. Before they could even reach a verdict, Sean and Lola offered to sacrifice themselves so the remaining couples could remain. They insisted that they have already discovered what they came looking for, while the other Islanders are still searching for love.

Following considerable deliberation, Julia and Lorenzo returned to the garden to break the devastating news. Before delivering the blow, Lorenzo admitted: "It's a horrible feeling having to stand here and end somebody's journey." Lorenzo and Julia eventually decided to respect their wishes and dumped Lola and Sean.

Villa Left Emotional

The entire villa was left clearly upset, with Lorenzo and Yasmin breaking down in tears as they bid farewell to their dear friends. Meanwhile, viewers at home are delighted with the latest eviction. Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, one fan exclaimed: "Sean and Lola out. good riddance." A second viewer concurred, saying: "LET'S GO it I'm so glad they left." A third chimed in, stating: "This is not even sad... wrap it up!"

However, others were quick to leap to the pair's defence, with one commenting: "Omg twitter is nastyyy they couldn't even volunteer without being slated! ! ! DEAR LORD PEOPLE find some joy in ur lives #loveislanduk."

Fall from Favour After Casa Amor

The duo were once favourites to win but fell out of public favour following Casa Amor. Fans turned against Lola when she confronted Julia about pursuing her partner Sean, despite him being in a stable couple. Many argued that Lola was upset with Julia for doing exactly what's expected of Casa Amor bombshells.

Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
