A woman who ignored everyone who said not to paint her bathroom brown has shared the before-and-after results, and viewers are impressed with how "luxurious" the room looks.
Kelsea explained that before the transformation, her bathroom was white and a bit minimalistic for her taste. When she suggested to friends that she wanted to paint it brown, everyone tried to discourage her.
But when she shared the before and after on TikTok, people were gobsmacked at how incredible it looked, with Kelsea describing it as her "favourite room in the house" after the transformation.
Trusting the Vision
She captioned the video: "From a very basic new-build cloakroom to one of my favourite rooms in the house. Sometimes you just have to trust the vision...and ignore everyone telling you not to paint it brown!"
Beforehand, the room lacked personality, but afterwards, the shade of brown she chose looked incredible and somehow made the room look more spacious. The little details she added also looked incredible. The new mirror made the room look much bigger because it was larger, the faux plant detailing made it look more cohesive, and the gold tap brought everything together.
Viewer Reactions
It's clear that Kelsea's vision was a great one, and one that many people are likely to take their own inspiration from. "This wouldn’t have worked without that stunning panelling," someone shared, and Kelsea agreed, with many others saying the panelling was amazing.
Other people who doubted the transformation before they'd seen it for themselves said that it looked "insanely better" than they "thought it would" when they saw that she'd painted it brown. "This is stunning. Nobody ever gets the vision until it's completed," a fan of the new look said. Others even labelled the transformation as "luxury."
Paint Details
While she didn't state how much she spent on the room in total, she did share some details of what she used in other videos on her TikTok, saying the "most asked question" was which colour paint she got. She confirmed that it was the Valspar 'Espresso Escape' paint, which is around £24.
