Trinny London has introduced the Take Back Time Overnight Hand Transformation, a £69 kit designed to reverse visible signs of ageing on the hands within four weeks. The set includes a hand concentrate and a 0.5mm microneedle, which the brand says is clinically proven to deliver results.
How the hand transformation kit works
The 0.5mm microneedle creates minuscule channels intended to boost the effectiveness of the concentrate when applied to the hands. Users should place their hand flat, gently roll the microneedle backwards and forwards, then apply two pumps of the concentrate and massage it into the skin until fully absorbed.
Trinny London advises using the hand concentrate daily and the microneedle three times weekly on alternating evenings. The brand also recommends taking at least a one-month break after every eight weeks of microneedling to allow the skin time to recover. A complimentary microneedle cleaner spray is included in the set.
Ingredients and clinical study results
The Take Back Time Concentrate uses L-ornithine lipo-complex to plump skin, alpha arbutin and bio-retinoid to clear dark spots, and C-17 signal peptides to smooth crepey texture. Trinny London conducted a 12-week clinical study involving 32 women aged 45 to 70, with participants reporting restored hand volume, diminished prominent veins, reduced dark spots and less crepey skin within four weeks.
Since launch, the set has gathered more than 50 customer reviews, with the majority awarding five stars. One customer said: "This product absolutely does what it says! After 4 weeks my hands are softer, the skin plumper and the creepiness virtually gone. Dark spots have lessened and the freshness has returned. Stunned by the results!" Another added: "I feel like I've got my old hands back, the hands I had in my 20s. I feel more confident and am even considering getting my nails done to match my youthful skin."
Alternative hand care options
For a simpler approach, Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Treatment costs £30 and claims results lasting eight hours. The Nursem Hand Care Gift Set, priced at £15.99 at Boots, includes a hand cream, hand wash and caring skin fix. One purchaser of the Trinny London set noted a "slightly minty smell" that may be a consideration for those who dislike mint.
