Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has celebrated her 43rd birthday with her lookalike daughter Scarlett and other family members, sharing snaps of the occasion on social media. The actress, who plays Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, turned 43 on August 7 and spent the day dining out with her children and mother.

One photo showed Tina sipping pink champagne opposite her 17-year-old daughter Scarlett, who she shares with former partner Ryan Thomas. The couple were together from 2003 until 2009. Another image showed Tina with her son Beau, who she shares with ex-husband Adam Crofts. The pair married in 2018 and separated in 2025.
Scarlett, who is currently starring in Waterloo Road as Izzy Charles, shared her own birthday message to her mother on Instagram, posting a selfie of the two with the caption: "Happy birthday mumma my best friend my biggest supporter my everything and way more. I'd be nothing without you @tinaob83 xxxx."

The birthday posts follow Tina's recent sun-soaked holiday abroad, where she posed in a bikini and shared snaps from the getaway. She was joined by her co-star Alison King, who plays Carla Connor-Swain, and Alison's daughter. One image showed the two actresses posing together, while another overlooked a picturesque harbour.
On-screen storyline
Tina's downtime comes amid a busy time for her character Sarah, who is currently in prison for the murder of Theo Silberton. Sarah confessed to police that she killed Theo but claimed it was in self-defence. The character, played by Tina since 1999, beat the scaffolder over the head and sent him falling from a builder's yard roof earlier this year.
In the weeks since Sarah confessed to her police officer boyfriend Kit, he has been trying to pin the blame on Gary, Sarah's ex-boyfriend, but it remains unclear how things will unfold for Sarah.
