The Weeknd is set to perform at Manchester's Etihad Stadium this week as part of his record-breaking After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour. The Canadian superstar will take the stage on Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, marking his first Manchester shows in three years. These concerts are also the first major music events at the stadium in three years.
Tour Background
Originally launched in 2022, the tour has become the largest R&B tour in history, reaching millions across North America, Europe, the UK, South America, and Australia. It celebrates The Weeknd's acclaimed album trilogy: 2020's After Hours, 2022's Dawn FM, and 2023's Hurry Up Tomorrow.
Security and Banned Items
With large crowds expected, security will be stringent. All ticketholders will be searched upon entry. The following items are prohibited inside the stadium:

- Large umbrellas
- Selfie sticks
- Drink glasses
- Narcotics
- Weapons
- Sharp objects
- Portable chargers
- Bottles and cans
- Cameras (professional) and selfie sticks
- Flagpoles
- Tablets and computers
- Cigarettes and e-cigarettes
- Large flags
- Baby buggies and prams
- Aftershave and perfume bottles
Bag Policy
Backpacks, holdalls, rucksacks, or similar items of any size are not allowed. Only small handbags and handheld bags no larger than A4 size (12”x8”x3”) will be permitted. Those requiring larger bags for medical reasons should contact the Access Team in advance for a Medical Exemption form. A limited number of paid bag drop facilities will be available outside the stadium.
Food and Drink
Bringing food and drink into the stadium is not permitted. However, a variety of food and drink stalls are available both outside and inside, offering hot and cold options, including vegan and halal choices. Empty refillable water bottles (max 750ml) can be brought in and refilled at water stations inside.
Timings and Advice
Turnstiles open at 5pm for general access, with a curfew of 10:30pm. Attendees are advised to arrive early to allow time for security checks and ensure they are inside before the show starts.
