Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced fresh humiliation after their Archewell-produced documentary, Cookie Queens, took less than £250,000 from 446 cinemas over its opening weekend. The film, which follows four American Girl Scouts attempting to sell cookies, failed to make the top 10 releases.
Beaten by cat videos
In a further blow, the documentary was outperformed at the US box office by a compilation of internet cat videos. Will Braden’s CatVideoFest 2026 ranked 10th despite being released in far fewer theatres than Cookie Queens.
Danica De Giorgio has now placed the couple at the top of her 'Hall of Shame' list on News24, formerly Sky News Australia, as she criticised the failed project. She said: "Meghan and Harry, on one of their quests, they decided to put togther a film called Cookie Queens. Well, it was released over the weekend and guess what, it crumbled. The cookie crumbled."
Presenter's criticism
After highlighting Page Six’s report that the film earned just $327,000 during its opening weekend, De Giorgio mocked the couple for being beaten by internet cat videos. She declared: "It actually finished at number 15 behind several indie releases, including CatVideoFest. Yes! Meghan and Harry's cookie cutter adventure was beaten by internet cat videos.
"Can you believe it? A compliation of cat videos of cat memes, cat jokes, cat laughs, when people sit at home and laugh at cats, have beaten the cookie crumblers themselves."
The presenter concluded: "Another flop for the Sussexes."
Bullying allegations
Although Harry and Meghan came in at number one on Danica's 'Hall of Shame', the former Suits actress also found herself at number two following fresh allegations of bullying. The 45-year-old has been accused of berating staff at a luxury hotel before later humiliating a young woman who was interviewing for a job at the palace.
Danica said: "I am not surprised by any of these allegations because the problem with Meghan is, she thinks she's bigger and better than every other person. She thinks that she is so important, so entitled and that the world loves her, when all she ever did was a small part in Suits.
"That was an absolute flop for her and where has she been ever since? I'm not surprised. There's a common theme here. Meghan is a mean girl. She's not nice to anybody."
