Susanna Reid poses in swimsuit as she makes major GMB announcement

Susanna Reid looked worlds away from her usual TV ensemble as she soaked up the sun in a swimsuit while sharing a major Good Morning Britain announcement. The 55-year-old broadcaster took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 18) to give fans an insight into her sun-soaked Ibizan holiday, swapping her high heels for flip flops as she slipped into a black swimsuit with lightwash denim jeans.

Vote GMB at the NTAs

She teamed her look with oversized sunglasses as she beamed beside a series of swimsuit models at one of Ibiza's biggest daytime clubs, O Beach Ibiza. The seven women could be seen wearing matching white one-piece swimsuits as they held up a sign which read: "Vote GMB".

She captioned the post: "VOTE GMB! We are up for Best Daytime Programme at the incredible NTAs, so I celebrated at one of Ibiza's best daytime clubs, O Beach Ibiza."

Fans and friends react

It didn't take long for her famous friends and loyal legion of fans to flock to the comments section to share their compliments online. TV personality Ferne McCann gushed: "This is epic [fire emoji]," as another agreed: "This is INCREDIBLE."

A third echoed: "Absolutely vote GMB!!! Looking sensational Susanna!! [heart emoji]," as a third chimed in with: "Go, Susanna! You look amazing & have my vote always [heart emoji]."

Summer break and director departure

It comes after Susanna shared that she and her co-star Ed Balls are taking a lengthy break from the breakfast show for their summer break. Sharing a snap from the ITV studios, the brunette beauty was seen slipping into a pair of slippers as she stretched out on the signature blue sofa.

Explaining her new attire, she revealed that she will be taking a break from the show until September. She chuckled: "SHOES OFF, OUT OF OFFICE ON! Time for my summer break." She went on to share that one of the ITV breakfast crew is leaving the show: "It's also time to say goodbye to our wonderful director, Stuart Earl, who has been the champion of this programme for a decade. Thank you for everything, Stuart."

Clash with Robert Jenrick

Their summer break comes after they clashed with Reform politician Robert Jenrick. The politician was caught in a very awkward hot-mic moment at the end of an interview with the duo last week. Reform UK's Treasury spokesman was heard branding his interview "a waste of time" while he was still on air.

During their chat, Robert clashed with Ed, a former Labour cabinet minister, and Susanna over a £5million gift Nigel Farage received from a cryptocurrency billionaire.
