Strictly star Sarah Storey in trouble ahead of Icons Week
Strictly: Sarah Storey 'in trouble' ahead of Icons Week

Dame Sarah Storey is facing potential trouble on Strictly Come Dancing ahead of the upcoming Icons Week show, with bookmaker Coral slashing her elimination odds to 6-4 from 7-2.

The Paralympian, who is set to perform a tango, has shared snippets of her rehearsals on social media where she appears to be struggling to master the routine.

Odds and Favourites

For the third consecutive week, former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips remains the favourite to leave Strictly in Coral's elimination betting at evens, while actress Jaime Winstone is priced at 8-1.

Coral's John Hill said: "Sarah Storey looks to be in a real tango tangle ahead of Icons Week, and the pressure is mounting. Her rehearsal clips haven't exactly set the world alight, and with her elimination odds tumbling from 7-2 to 6-4, punters are starting to fear the worst."

Recent Eliminations

The news comes after Melanie Walters, known for playing Gwen West in Gavin & Stacey, became the second celebrity to be eliminated from the show following week three last Saturday (October 10).

Walters was paired with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec for the 2026 edition but landed in the dance-off against Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr, becoming the second couple to leave.

Chris Appleton was the first contestant to exit the show alongside his professional partner Amy Dowden.

Hill added: "Our odds suggest Shaun Wright-Phillips also needs a big performance to avoid the Strictly exit door this weekend, but Sarah could be facing a seriously tricky week if she can't find her rhythm before the live show."
