Another couple have left Strictly Come Dancing after Saturday night's Icons Week special, with the result leaking online hours after the show aired and leaving many fans 'gutted' about the bottom two.
The new series of the hit BBC show is now a month in. Following the exits of Chris Appleton and Melanie Walters, the remaining celebrities and their pro partners returned to the Strictly ballroom on Saturday, each introduced to the floor as their celebrity egos, with contestants becoming everyone from RAYE to Ricky Martin, Shania Twain to Bjorn from ABBA.
Leaderboard ties spark shock fears
There has been some unpredictable scoring over recent weeks, and Icons Week proved no different. Two couples tied at the top - Cach and Maddie and Jaime and Carlos - on series-best and personal-best scores of 34 out of 40. Not far behind in second, with a score of 31, were Will and Dianne after their Elton John jive impressed the judges, followed by Lawrence and Jowita on 30.
There was a three-way tie for fourth place, as Tabby and Mark, Lacey and Vito and John and Katya all got 29, while Sarah and Julian finished at the foot of the week's table on 21. Given three separate ties on the leaderboard, many fans were concerned a shock result might be on the horizon.
Result leaks online
While the outcome of the vote won't be officially revealed until the Strictly results show on Sunday night, the result leaked online just hours after credits rolled on Saturday. As always, fans were quick to react when the leak surfaced on X late on, with one fan saying they were 'shocked' at the first couple in the dance-off and 'gutted' for the pair eliminated. Others expressed relief that favourites they feared might be in danger made it through to another week.
