Sophie Price has made a brutal eight-word swipe at her brother-in-law Lee Andrews during a joint podcast appearance with sister Katie Price. On the Katie Price Show, the siblings discussed Katie's fourth wedding to Lee, and Sophie's cutting remark came after Katie recounted a flirty on-stage exchange with Jake Quickenden.
Flirty exchange at awards show
Katie, 48, recalled a This Morning segment where Ben Shephard jokingly suggested Jake Quickenden as someone "who would be great" for her. Both Katie and Jake were presenting at the Hair and Beauty Awards in Manchester this month, a fact Katie highlighted on stage.
During the exchange, Katie asked Jake: "Sorry, I'm just researching, am I your type or not?" The reality star responded: "You're a beautiful lady, Kate, get on with the awards!"
Sophie's cutting remark
Discussing the moment on the podcast, Katie said: "He happened to be at the [same] event, and me being me whether I am on stage or not, I am just myself." Sophie teased that Katie had evidently flirted with the I'm A Celebrity runner-up, who announced his separation from Sophie Church in June.
Katie insisted: "I'm not looking for a man," though she admitted: "But I just said it on stage. That was it. You know what I'm like." Sophie then delivered her remark about Lee, declaring: "Well, that might be a little, pleasant upgrade!" Katie swiftly replied: "Right, let's move on!"
Cryptic messages and marriage speculation
The comments follow a period when Katie left fans questioning the status of her marriage after posting cryptic messages online, including one blunt statement that she has "survived." Earlier this week, she uploaded posts to her Instagram Story amid rumours about her relationship with Lee, whom she wed earlier this year after knowing each other for merely days.
One post stated: "My side of the story doesn't matter anymore. Life happened, it hurt, I healed, but most importantly, I learned who deserves a seat at my table and who will never sit at it again." Another said: "I will never, ever forget who helped me in difficult times, who put me in difficult times, and who left me in difficult times." Katie added her own caption over the post, writing in her signature pink: "I survived."
The messages followed sightings of her without her wedding ring, further stoking speculation. Lee initially raised alarm when he disappeared in May, leaving Katie unable to contact him for several days. It later transpired he had been detained at Dubai's Al Awir prison before his release in June. He had maintained he was originally accused of espionage, but subsequently acknowledged he faced a civil case in Dubai. He reportedly returned to the facility for a second stint in July, with his arrests understood to be linked to allegations of fraud, outstanding debts and private civil matters.
