The Scottish Fish and Chip Awards 2026 has revealed its finalists, with chippies across Scotland competing in dozens of categories. The winners will be announced at a gala final in Glasgow on November 9.
Nominations and judging process
Public nominations and votes were invited via social media and the awards' website from June 1. Judges will now visit every finalist across Scotland before the winners are announced.
Awards Director Warren Paul said: "This one means even more somehow—for us and for the finalists, ultimately for the winners and also those who will return to go again next year."
Categories and special awards
Categories include Best Fish Supper and Best Chip Shop, which are regionalised, as well as overall honours such as Best Family Business and Most Innovative Menu. Two special awards, Dazza's Does It Fry? and Best Fish Fryer, are judged differently—the former by online content creator Dazza and the latter by a live cook-off on the day of the finals.
Paul added: "These finalists have made it this far based on the support of their customers, real people saying these places deserve to be recognised."
Full list of finalists
Finalists include Catch 92 (Edinburgh), Di Vito (Linlithgow), Dunkeld Fish Bar (Dunkeld), Kadir's Fish & Chips (Barrhead), and The Kraken Chippy (East Kilbride), among many others across all categories.
