During questioning by DS Lisa Connor-Swain, who revealed phone records from the night of the murder, Sarah admitted to killing Theo in self-defence. However, she insisted that her call to Gary that night was about something unrelated, despite Lisa's disbelief.
Even when Kit Green asked her to stop putting Gary before herself and her family, Sarah refused to implicate him, saying she couldn't ruin anyone else's lives and didn't want to break a promise she made to Maria Connor.
Maria's confrontation
Maria, torn over Gary's involvement, confronted Sarah, pointing out that she could also face prison for giving Gary a false alibi. Sarah assured her it wouldn't come to that, but the phone records complicated matters.
With Sarah taking full blame, her fate seems sealed, potentially leading to a life behind bars.
