Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has warned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should "disappear" for a while to recover their reputation. Speaking to Page Six, Schofield, host of YouTube's "Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered," advised the couple to "disappear professionally for a little while, dramatically reduce the number of announcements, and identify one genuinely compelling project with experienced people around them who know how to execute it."
Advice for the Sussexes
Schofield added: "Reputation recovery is possible, but I don't think it comes from another rebrand or another glossy publicity campaign. I would recommend the opposite. Less talking, fewer announcements and more execution."
The couple met in 2016 and married in 2018. Two years after their wedding, they stepped down from royal duties in 2020. They now live in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Reflections on Their Romance
In an interview, the couple reflected on the start of their romance before it became public. Meghan said: "I don't think that I would call it a whirlwind in terms of our relationship, obviously, there have been layers attached to how public it has become after we had a good five, six months almost with just privacy, which was amazing."
Harry added: "I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly — it was a confirmation to me that all the stars were aligned. This beautiful woman literally tripped and fell into my life. I fell into her life, and the fact that she will be unbelievably good at the job part of it as well is obviously a huge relief to me because she'll be able to deal with everything else that comes with it."
Recent UK Visit
The Sussexes returned to the UK for a five-day trip in July to mark the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games. During their visit, they were hosted by Queen Camilla and King Charles at Highgrove House. The meeting was held privately, and little to no details about what happened between the family members have been released.
