Reuben Owen has received congratulations from fans after sharing a relationship update with his girlfriend Jessica Ellwood. The couple, who feature together in the Channel 5 series Life in the Dales, recently marked a significant milestone in their relationship.
Anniversary Announcement
Taking to social media, Reuben revealed that he and Jess had celebrated their two-year anniversary. He shared: "2 Year together so many amazing memories. Love you so much @jessica.ellwood1." His followers quickly filled the comments section with messages of support.
One person wrote: "Congratulations on your anniversary here's to many more years making memories together." Another commented: "You cuties." A third added: "Happy anniversary to you both," while someone else said: "Congratulations you lovely couple." Another follower remarked: "Such a beautiful couple so nice to see you grow together and be happy with who your are don't life change you stay true to yourselves."
Jess also posted an update on her Instagram page, writing: "Celebrating two years together." Reuben commented: "Love you so much," as the pair were described as "gorgeous" by followers.
How They Met
Reuben and Jess first met at a young farmers' convention. Jess later revealed on Life in the Dales: "Ever since we first met, we just clicked. I think it's because I'm from a farming background, so's Reuben." She added: "I just love him to bits. Love his family, get on great with them."
Speaking to OK magazine, Reuben recalled: "It took me a while to ask her out, I wasn't that brave but I just asked her one night, we went out for some tea one night and I'd lost my wallet and she had to pay for my dinner!"
Family Support and Future Plans
Reuben previously told The Mirror how his family had welcomed Jess, explaining: "Mum and Jess get on well, they talk about sheep together, they all approve and they all get along really well."
Hinting at plans to move in together, he continued: "We're just waiting for something to come up. I've got to try and get a nice place, get a bit of a farm somewhere one day. It would be ideal to have a farm where I can park my diggers and she can have her sheep and cows."
When asked about potentially having children, alluding to his parents' large family, he joked: "I don't think I fancy nine of them, I don't fancy nine at all. We'll have to wait and see."
Reuben first rose to fame with his parents Clive and Amanda on Our Yorkshire Farm, with the family later sharing their journey on Our Farm Next Door. He now stars on his own Channel 5 series with Jess, alongside friends Sonny and Capper, and Reuben's brothers Sid and Myles. Life in the Dales is available to watch on 5.
