Art on paper conservator Angelina Bakalarou announced her engagement during the latest episode of The Repair Shop, sharing the news with her co-star Sonnaz Nooranvary.
Engagement revealed on air
As the pair awaited their next guest in the barn, upholstery expert Sonnaz asked how Angelina was doing. Angelina raised her hand to show her ring and announced, "I'm engaged!" Sonnaz congratulated her, saying she was "so pleased" and added, "Look at that ring!"

Fans congratulate the couple
When the episode first aired last autumn, fans congratulated Angelina on social media. One person hoped she and her partner would have "many happy years together," while another praised the "wonderful" news and complimented how well the couple looked together.
It remains unclear how long Angelina has been with her partner, Simone, who first appeared on her Instagram in 2015. The expert often shares glimpses of their travels, including trips to Doha and Sardinia.
Angelina's journey on The Repair Shop
Angelina made her debut in the barn in 2023. She has been part of the show since the start and is friends with fellow expert Will Kirk. After her first episode, she shared a photo of them and their colleagues enjoying a day out.
She explained that a member of the production team initially contacted her by email, leading to interviews and discussions before she joined the show, calling the experience "surreal."
Speaking about challenging items she has fixed, Angelina said: "Well, everything, I would say that everything has been challenging, or has had its own challenges, because not one item is the same. You can never assume that it is going to be the same thing that happened to you, even one time before. So, one of the most challenging, I would say, was the helmet because it was a 3D object. I had never done a 3D object before in my life. So that was like a massive thing where I had to think outside the box and think of different approaches to how to fix something that fits on someone's head. So that was quite challenging."
