The Prince of Wales joined cricketing stars from the UK and India for an informal game of cricket on The Mall in central London this morning, bringing the iconic thoroughfare to a standstill.
The event took place right outside Buckingham Palace ahead of this year's Earthshot Prize, which will be held in India next month. The game was organised to celebrate the ties between the two nations and their shared passion for cricket.
Star-studded line-up
Cricketing legends taking part included Joe Root, Harry Brook, Danni Wyatt Hodge, Ajinkya Rahane, Sourav Ganguly and Brian Lara.
India is already home to more Earthshot Prize Winners and Finalists than any other country, and Mumbai will host the biggest Awards yet. Players, partners and guests came together for the informal game to celebrate the Prize's upcoming celebration in India.
Sport's role in positive action
The event also served to recognise the important role that sport can play in bringing people together and inspiring positive action.
