Perez Hilton's mother has filed for temporary custody of his three children in the wake of his alarming self-harm livestream on TikTok. Last week, the blogger, 48, was rushed to hospital after filming himself brandishing a knife live on social media. Concerned fans called the police, who arrived on the scene and quickly took him to get treatment.

He has remained in hospital since and is said to be in a 'serious but stable condition', with his loved ones taking care of his kids, Mario, Mia and Mayte. His mother, Teresita Lavandeira, submitted paperwork to obtain temporary custody of the youngsters in Miami on August 7, it is reported.
In court documents obtained by Page Six, the former Celebrity Big Brother star 'voluntarily consented' to the request. The paperwork reportedly reads: "I realise that by signing this document, I am consenting to the Petitioner having temporary legal custody of the minor children and that such temporary custody is in the best interest of the children.

"I realise that the custody of my children by the Petitioner is temporary and that I may, at any time, petition the court to return legal custody to me. I understand and acknowledge that I may have to comply with a reasonable transition plan prior to the court returning legal custody to me."
The outlet reports that Teresita is able to consent to necessary medical and dental care for the children, make educational decisions and gain access to their records. In another filing, she also requested for the records to be sealed, with a note adding: "The children in this case should not be subjected to any further trauma related to the incidents that are the basis of the petition."

Perez, real name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, welcomed his three children via a surrogate in recent years, after sharing his desire to become a father. It was revealed that Mario, Mia and Mayte were inside his home - along with his sister and niece - minutes before his alarming livestream last week, but left "when it became clear Perez was experiencing a severe mental health crisis and harming himself".
His family shared an update on his health a few days ago, which read: "Perez's condition remains serious but stable. He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days. His treatment and recovery will be a long process. We are grateful that Perez was able to spend time with his mother and sister yesterday."
"His communication has been extremely limited and confined to immediate family, medical providers, and others directly involved in his care. He has not communicated with the media or issued any public statements."
