Oasis have confirmed their 2027 tour and will announce dates and venues on Monday, revealing the news with a giant drone show over Manchester late on Thursday night. The band, led by Noel and Liam Gallagher, left fans in no doubt they will play at the Etihad stadium as part of the tour, as the video showed the drones setting off from the pitch of the Etihad. The drones displayed the Oasis logo followed by 14.09.26, which is Monday’s date, and 4pm BST.
Ticket sale expectations
Tickets are not expected to go on sale on Monday though, and as with the previous 2025 sellout tour, they are set to be sold at the weekend, with Saturday September 19 now a likely date for sales to begin. Liam and Noel are big Manchester City fans, and the band have previously played Maine Road, making the Etihad a natural venue.
As the Mirror has previously revealed, two venues long rumoured amongst the band’s inner circle for next summer have been the Etihad in Manchester in June and Knebworth later in the summer. The band have also used drones before, famously flying them over Cardiff the night before their first comeback show of the 2025 tour.
Teaser videos and rumoured venues
Over the past week, the band have been releasing teaser videos about other venues they will play, with some easier to work out than others. They all point to a European tour next summer, although a later teaser appeared to be for Boston, and dates in Las Vegas are also rumoured, so the band may have a US leg after finishing in Europe. In 2025, Oasis toured North and South America after finishing in the UK.
The first teaser, which appeared on September 3, was set in a fish and chip shop, and using the numbers from posters on the walls, fans were able to work out the longitude and latitude coordinates on a map for Celtic Park in Glasgow. Another video on September 6 featured a guitarist playing next to a Joan Miro poster, with this being the most famous artist to come from Barcelona, leading fans to believe this will be the venue for dates in Spain.
Other likely cities which were teased include Rome, where it is thought they could play two dates in July, Paris, Munich and Amsterdam. The teaser for Amsterdam featured police running and was thought to be an in-joke from when all the band, except Noel, were deported from Amsterdam before they were due to play a gig after getting into a fight on the ferry over to the Netherlands in February 1994.
Band members' hints
Noel appeared to confirm the tour when speaking on Talksport at the start of the month. Asked about the possibility, he said: “Well, let's put it this way: there's no football tournament on next year, so we've got to do summer in the summer, right?”
Previously, Liam has also hinted at the tour on X heavily, but came offline for some time, possibly to avoid getting in trouble with the band’s management for saying too much. Last month, when directly asked about the original 12 nights at the Etihad story, frontman Liam responded to a fan to say: "12 I thought it was 10 ffs". As another fan said on X they were desperate for the dates to be announced, Liam replied: "You are not the boss we will announce when the time is righteous."
The Oasis 2025 tour is seen as one of the best tours by a British band in decades, winning rave reviews around the world. Many fans thought they would never see Liam and Noel on stage together again, having not played for almost two decades. Noel quit Oasis on August 28 2009, saying he "simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer", and the brothers had made negative comments about each other for more than a decade.
That all changed with the announcement of the reunion tour in August 2024. The pair posed for several photos together confirming the band's long-awaited reunion on Tuesday, saying: "The great wait is over." The tour was seen as one of the most incredible comebacks of any British band, with incredible demand for tickets. The sale of the Oasis 2027 is expected to be similar, with millions likely to miss out on tickets again as demand far exceeds supply.
