Meghan Markle has shared a rare clip featuring the voice of her five-year-old daughter, Lilibet, as part of a promotional video for her brand's festive range, showcasing the Princess's American accent. The Duchess posted the footage on Instagram on Tuesday, October 6, showing Lilibet helping to create one of the signature products – fruit preserves.
Behind-the-scenes glimpse
The footage captures Meghan mixing ingredients in a saucepan on the hob, while Lilibet works with her own bowl and spoon alongside her mother. Meghan asks: "What do you think, Lili?" Lilibet then replies after sampling the mixture: "I think it's beautiful."
The post also incorporated nostalgic photographs from Meghan's childhood alongside previously unseen images connected to her brand, and coincides with As Ever unveiling the inaugural instalment of its 2026 festive collection.
Entrepreneurial journey
The caption states: "When I was about eight years old, I started my own business making handmade scrunchies I sewed on my grandmother's Singer sewing machine and sold for $1 a piece."
She continued: "I sold Girl Scout cookies, had lemonade stands, worked in a frozen yogurt shop and had countless other jobs. My entrepreneurial spirit was always there."
"As I shared years ago on The Tig (PS, love you ladies @thetiglets): 'Behind every successful woman is herself' – and that's true... but there's more: a community of love, a squad of support, an amazing team."
Festive collection details
"As I pinch myself looking at how this brand has grown, and as we introduce our holiday collection, I feel very proud, and grateful," she added. "A huge thanks to my team at @aseverofficial. So proud of what we are creating together. Thanks for helping bring this vision to life."
The footage also shows scenes of the As Ever fruit preserves being packed and Meghan baking biscuits. One segment shows Prince Harry hovering over Meghan while she unwraps a package.
The Duchess unveiled a preview of her brand's festive range last week, partnering with Los Angeles confectioner Compartés on a limited-edition Advent calendar drawing inspiration from the couple's Montecito residence. The calendar has been crafted to resemble the facade of their home, decorated with seasonal ornaments for Christmas.
The festive range also features a card game set, a selection of Compartés chocolate bars, a chocolate-dipped fruit collection and hampers filled with various fruit preserves. The debut follows claims Harry had been encouraging Meghan to 'get a job' after the pair's return to the UK. Since the couple's move, the Duke has been juggling charity gala appearances and giving talks across both the UK and US, while Meghan has been "taking a backseat".
