The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has received her first Daytime Emmy nomination for her Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan. The show was nominated in the outstanding lifestyle programme category, marking a significant milestone for the royal-turned-media personality.
Details of the Nomination
The first season of With Love, Meghan launched on Netflix in 2025, coinciding with the unveiling of her lifestyle brand As Ever. Throughout the series, Meghan regularly promoted her first products, intertwining the show with her entrepreneurial ventures. The series will compete against NBC’s George to the Rescue, Hallmark’s The Motherhood, The Wizard Of Paws, and A Different Breed in the lifestyle category.
Guest Appearances and Show Content
Across its two seasons, the show featured guest appearances from notable figures including Mindy Kaling, Tan France, and Chrissy Teigen. Episodes focused on gardening, cooking, and other lifestyle topics, showcasing Meghan’s personal interests and expertise. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium on October 30.
Other Daytime Emmy Highlights
Elsewhere in the Daytime Emmy nominations, The Young And The Restless led the daytime drama field with 18 nominations, followed by CBS’s Beyond The Gates with 15 and General Hospital with 13. Actresses Drew Barrymore and Kelly Clarkson will vie for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series alongside The View, Live With Kelly And Mark, Today with Jenna And Friends, and 3rd Hour Of Today.
Meghan’s Nomination in Context
Meghan’s nomination came days after Sir Gary Oldman and his co-star, Scottish actor Jack Lowden, earned Primetime Emmy nods for their roles in Apple TV’s spy drama Slow Horses. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first signed a contract reportedly worth more than 100 million US dollars (£74 million) with Netflix after quitting as senior working royals in 2020.
As Ever and Netflix Partnership
As Ever announced it had ended its partnership with Netflix in March, with a spokesperson saying the brand was “now ready to stand on its own.” With Love, Meghan’s second season was the 1,124th most-watched show between July and December 2025, with two million views, according to data released by Netflix. The royal couple signed a new first-look deal with Netflix last year, giving the streaming giant first option on projects by the Sussexes’ Archewell Productions.
Upcoming Projects
In May, it was announced that Archewell Productions would produce a war film for Netflix based on an Afghanistan memoir. US outlet Deadline reported that the film will tell the story of Easy Company, a unit of Paras and Royal Irish rangers tasked with holding a district in Helmand Province in July 2006, who came under attack from the Taliban. The film, called No Way Out: The Searing True Story Of Men Under Siege, is based on the memoir by Major Adam Jowett, who led the unit.
