Manchester United beat Leeds United 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Croke Park in Dublin to win the Boyle Sports Cup. Bruno Fernandes missed from 12 yards, but Noussair Mazraoui converted the winning spot-kick.
United take the lead through Zirkzee
United took the lead in Dublin after a superb break, spearheaded by Bryan Mbeumo, whose stunning work down the left was followed by a pass to Joshua Zirkzee, who finished well. But Leeds levelled against the run of play, with Tyler Fletcher caught on the ball and Brenden Aaronson applying the finish a few seconds later.

Senne Lammens: Quiet first half but made a sharp save with his feet from Harry Wilson after the break and safe hands with two shots from distance. 6
Diogo Dalot: Drifted into midfield positions during build-up play at times, but caught out defensively by an Okafor run and had to make a rash foul in the final act before being replaced. 6
Leny Yoro: Good ball over the top to find Dorgu's run and looked comfortable in possession. Handled Calvert-Lewin well in the second half and led alongside Armer. 7
Ayden Heaven: Some crisp passing again and his left-foot angle clearly a bonus in this team. Better defensively than he had been on Saturday. 6
Harry Amass: Committed two early fouls and then another later in the first half. Calm enough on the ball but doesn't quite look ready for this level. 6
Andrey Santos: Came short to get the ball off the defenders and could see promise of leadership with his communication. Looks a certain starter vs Hull. 6
Tyler Fletcher: Took too long on the ball a couple of times and one proved costly when he lost it in a dangerous area and Leeds scored. A reminder of the step up in quality. 5
Amad: Quicksilver feet on a couple of occasions and could have scored after good work from Zirkzee. Has made an impact since his return from the World Cup. 7
Joshua Zirkzee: Took his goal well, tested Trafford with another effort and some brilliant feet to create a chance for Amad. Some slack moments alongside signs of quality. 7
Patrick Dorgu: Played the pass to release Mbeumo for the goal, although that owed a lot more to Mbeumo's skill. Quiet 45 minutes aside from that. 6
Bryan Mbeumo: Gone to a different level since being moved to striker in pre-season. Superb work for Zirkzee's goal and threatened to get another himself as well. 8
Substitutes make an impact
Dan Armer: Getting some excellent opportunities in pre-season and looked assured against a very experienced Premier League striker here. Rock solid. 8
Toby Collyer: Can't have long left at United but pressed into action for 45 minutes and was good on the ball. Has something to offer but opportunities will be hard to come by. 6
Tynan Thompson: Didn't see a lot of the ball but could see he wanted to take people on and run with it when United found him in space. 6
Dermot Mee: Had unexpected chances in pre-season and with Darlow still sidelined he could yet be on the bench against Hull. One sharp save and saved a penalty. 7
Noussair Mazraoui: Solid enough at right-back but clearly behind Dalot again in the pecking order. 6
Luke Shaw: Has no competition for his place and did fine when he came on. Needs to be wrapped in cotton wool at the moment. 6
Youri Tielemans: Took in-swinging corners instead of Fernandes and produced some crisp passes. 7
Jack Fletcher: One overhit corner from the right but pressed aggressively. Done okay as a right-winger in pre-season. 6
Bruno Fernandes: Interesting to see him in the six-yard box rather than on corner-taking duty. Hit the bar with an excellent effort but missed his penalty. 7
Matheus Cunha: Came on as a striker, having impressed for Brazil in the World Cup, and looked sharp. 6
