The Liverpool ECHO has published 22 tributes and funeral notices this week, honouring loved ones who have recently passed away. The announcements, which appear in the print edition, give families the chance to celebrate the lives of those they have lost and share details of funerals, fundraising, and floral tributes.

Robert Gallagher Jr and other tributes

Robert Gallagher Jr (Bobby) passed away peacefully in Whiston Hospital surrounded by his family, aged 69. His funeral service will take place on Friday 9th October at 2.30pm at Springwood Crematorium, Rosemary Chapel. Attendees are asked to wear a splash of red.

Maureen Agnes Gill (Nee Barber) passed away peacefully on Sunday 20th September, aged 95. Her funeral will be held on Friday 2nd October at 2pm at St Benet's Church, followed by cremation at Thornton Crematorium at 3pm. Donations in her memory may be made to North West Cancer Research.

Margaret May Glover, formerly of Thornton and Litherland, died peacefully at Falkland Grange Care Home, aged 94. A thanksgiving service will be held at Moor Lane Methodist Church, Crosby on Friday 9th October at 2pm, followed by cremation at Thornton Crematorium.

Alfred Green (Alf), aged 96, died on 16th September 2026. His funeral service will take place at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 7th at Anfield Crematorium. Donations in his memory may be made to the Liverpool University Hospital Charity.

Stanley Henderson, aged 95, will be missed by his family and friends. His funeral will be held on Thursday 1st October 2026 at Springwood Crematorium at 12.30pm.

Sheila Margaret Hill (Nee Rider) died peacefully at home in Ormskirk on 17th September 2026, aged 96. Her funeral service will take place on Friday 16th October at St. Edward's Church, Leek at 12.30pm, followed by interment at Leek Cemetery.

June Margaret Hindle passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on 15th September, aged 88. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 7th October at 3.45pm at GreenAcres, Rainford.

Dorothy Alexandra Howe (nee Gillott) passed away peacefully on 26th August 2026, aged 88. Burial will take place at Landican at 12 noon, with a Thanksgiving Service at Grange URC Bebington at 1.30pm on Monday 5th October 2026.

Thelma Ena Hughes (née Walmsley) passed away peacefully, aged 90. Her funeral service will be held on Monday 5th October at 11.20am in Anfield Crematorium, followed by a celebration of life at The Park Hotel.

Anastasia Jackson, aged 83, died on 8th September 2026. A Requiem Mass will be held at 12noon on Friday October 9th in St Francis De Sales Church, with the service continuing at Anfield Crematorium.

David Jenkins, aged 68, passed away peacefully at Aintree Hospital. His funeral service will be held on Friday 9th October 2026 in Anfield Crematorium at 12.40pm.

Christine Elizabeth Jennifer Jones passed away peacefully on Saturday 29th August 2026, aged 81. Her funeral service will be held at St Johns Church, Birkdale on Friday 2nd October 2026 at 2pm, followed by a private committal at Southport Crematorium.

Phillip Kelly, aged 37, and his mother Susan Kelly, aged 61, passed away within two weeks of one another. Their funeral service will be held at Glentrees on Friday 2nd October at 4pm, followed by a celebration of both lives at Pump House, Albert Dock.

John Porter passed away on Sunday 20th September, leaving his wife Margie after 58 years of marriage. His funeral details were not included in the notice.

Joan Pritchard, aged 86, passed away peacefully at home on 11th September 2026. A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday 1st October at St Matthew's Catholic Church, Clubmoor, followed by cremation at Anfield Crematorium.

John Rodaway will be missed by his family and friends. His funeral service will take place at Anfield Crematorium at 10.40am on Friday 2nd October 2026.

James Smith (Jimmy), aged 80, died peacefully surrounded by family on 4th September. His funeral service and committal will take place on Friday 2nd October at Greenacres, Rainford Park at 2.00pm.

Joan Stanton (Riding) left us peacefully at Castle Grange Care Home, aged 91. Her funeral service will be held at Rosemary Chapel, Springwood Crematorium on Friday 9th October at 11.00am, followed by a celebration of her life at The Childwall Abbey Hotel.

Laurence Samuel Sullivan (Laurie), aged 77, passed peacefully at home. His funeral service will be held at Greenacres, Blindfoot Road on Wednesday 7th October 2026 at 10.00am.

Margaret Sutton (Née Shaw) (Peggy) passed away peacefully aged 99. Her funeral service will take place at St Agnes and St Aiden Church Huyton on Tuesday October 6th at 10:30 am, followed by St Helens Crematorium at 12 noon.

Jane Von Bagren passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, aged 58. Her funeral service will be held at Sefton Parish Church on Friday 2nd October at 11am, followed by interment at Thornton Garden of Rest.

Maureen Walmsley (Regan) passed away suddenly at home on 4th September, aged 59. Her funeral will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Walton Vale on Friday 2nd October at 11am, followed by cremation at Anfield Crematorium.
