Leanne Morgan's comedy series Leanne returns to Netflix for a second season on August 27, 2025, with 10 episodes dropping simultaneously. The show, produced by Chuck Lorre of The Big Bang Theory, continues to draw from Morgan's stand-up comedy.
Cast and New Additions
Returning cast members include Kristen Johnston, Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Jayma Mays, Tim Daly, Graham Rogers, Hannah Pilkes, and Andrea Anders. New additions for Season 2 are country singer and Yellowstone star Lainey Wilson, actress and model Jaime Pressly (My Name Is Earl), actor and comedian Billy Gardell (Mike & Molly), and film and theatre actress Tyne Daly.
Plot and Production
The sitcom follows Leanne as her life is upended when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Along the way, she learns to embrace chaos and finds strength, laughter, and hope in unexpected places. Lorre praised Morgan, saying, “Leanne Morgan is the whole package. A comedic genius, a warm, loving human being, and an absolute joy to work with.” The second season is shorter than the first, which had 16 episodes, but continues to be inspired by Morgan's stand-up work.
