Latin Grammys 2025: Stars Shine on Red Carpet

The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas was the epicentre of Latin music glamour on Thursday as the 26th annual Latin Grammy Awards kicked off with a spectacular red carpet event. A host of international stars arrived in style, showcasing breathtaking fashion and generating immense excitement for the ceremony ahead.

Red Carpet Fashion Highlights

All eyes were on the performers as they made their grand entrances. Karol G, 34, who was scheduled to perform, captivated onlookers in a stunning, plunging black gown that shimmered under the lights. The elegant dress was accentuated with a delicate feather trim, and she completed her look with sleek, straight caramel-toned hair and striking silver earrings.

Meanwhile, country music superstar Kacey Musgraves, 37, made a powerful style statement in a form-fitting, beaded scarlet gown that highlighted her figure. She opted for a classic dark red lip to finish the bombshell aesthetic. Musgraves, who released a bilingual duet with Carin León earlier this year, was also expected to perform the song 'Lost in Translation' during the show.

The hosting duo also brought their A-game. Roselyn Sánchez, 52, looked radiant in a plunging baby blue gown with a frilly design and an impressive long train, accessorising with a bold blue necklace. Her co-host, Maluma, 31, cut a sharp figure in a bedazzled blazer and was accompanied by his girlfriend, Susana Gomez; the couple shared a sweet kiss for the cameras.

Music legend Gloria Estefan, 68, exuded timeless glamour in a black gown featuring dramatic sleeves, her dark red hair pulled into a high ponytail. She was joined by her husband, Emilio Estefan, and their daughter, Emily.

Performers and Nominees

The evening promised an electrifying lineup of performances. Alongside Karol G and Kacey Musgraves, the stage was set to feature Rauw Alejandro, Joaquina, Elena Rose, Alejandro Sanz, Grupo Frontera, and Carlos Santana.

In a significant pre-ceremony announcement, music legend Rafael Martos, known artistically as Raphael, was named the 2025 Person of the Year.

The competition was fierce, with Bad Bunny leading the nominee pack with an impressive 12 nominations. He was closely followed by Edgar Barrera and the duo CA7RIEL, who each secured 10 nominations.

First Winners and Memorable Moments

The awards ceremony commenced with an early win for Bad Bunny, who took home the trophy for Best Urban Music Album for 'Debí Tirar Más Fotos'.

Another iconic moment saw Gloria Estefan nab the award for Best Traditional Tropical Music Album for 'Raíces'. During her emotional acceptance speech, she paid a heartfelt tribute to her husband, Emilio, stating the album would not exist without him and celebrating their fifty years of making music together.

Meanwhile, Ulises Guerriero and Catriel Guerreiro of CA7RIEL accepted the Best Alternative Music Album award for their work 'Papota'.

The red carpet was a parade of diverse and daring fashion. Venezuelan-American singer Elena Rose, 30, chose an angelic white gown with a feather trim and sheer panels, while Rauw Alejandro, 32, showcased his trendy style in a partly unbuttoned burgundy shirt. Other notable appearances included FARIANA in a sculpted gold gown and Aitana in a unique sheer design, ensuring the 2025 Latin Grammys were as much a visual feast as a musical celebration.
