Krispy Kreme Traitors doughnut review: hidden filling issue

The Krispy Kreme x The Traitors doughnut hides its secret filling so well that two initial bites revealed nothing, with the orange centre only appearing on the third bite, confirming a Faithful status.

A slow reveal of the secret centre

The doughnut, topped with chocolate icing and an edible shield bearing Claudia Winkleman's face, has a firmer exterior than a standard Krispy Kreme, giving way to a doughy middle. However, the secret centre proved elusive.

After two bites, the status remained hidden, which was a glaring issue. Normally, the filling sits in the middle, but this one required active hunting. On the third bite, a sliver of orange appeared, revealing a Faithful filling.

Taste and value

Despite the vibrant orange and green colouring, the filling tasted exactly like standard raspberry jam. While the flavour profile may not be the most mind-blowing in the line-up, the £2.99 price tag is justified by the novelty factor.
