Kelsey Parker has introduced her baby daughter River to the outside world during a family day out in Bromley, London. The 36-year-old podcaster was joined by partner Will Lindsay and her two children with late husband Tom Parker – six-year-old Aurelia and four-year-old son Bodhi.
Birth announcement and family outing
Kelsey and Will confirmed River's birth on September 20, 15 months after their daughter Phoenix tragically died through stillbirth at 38 weeks. Shortly after welcoming her third child, Kelsey shared an Instagram post writing: "And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven, our little rainbow baby."
On Thursday, the family visited Keston Park, where Kelsey looked overjoyed as she cradled her baby daughter while eldest child Aurelia, marking her first outing with her baby sister, watched in awe.
Emotional response from those close to the family
A source told The Mirror: "Losing Phoenix absolutely devastated Kelsey and Will. There were some incredibly dark days afterwards and nobody around them underestimated what they were going through."
"River doesn't replace Phoenix, she never could, but she has brought some light back into their lives. Seeing Kelsey with River is incredibly emotional for everyone who loves her. She's been through more heartbreak than most people could ever imagine, so to see her holding her little girl and looking so happy is really special."
Background: stillbirth and police involvement
The heavily pregnant podcaster had been attending a family party with tree surgeon Will and her two children when she went into labour with Phoenix, who was 'born sleeping' just seven minutes later.
She later accused police officers of treating her "like a criminal" after paramedics called them to the scene in June 2025. "They came in, they took him from me, I only ever got to hold Phoenix for nine minutes," she told Good Morning Britain. "That's the only time I got to hold him. They then called the police."
"The police arrived; they said that it was a crime scene. But because I had no one present, a midwife, there was no handover. So, the ambulance and paramedics, I don't know, they just came in, and it was awful."
Tom Parker's death and new relationship
Kelsey was left to raise two children alone after The Wanted singer Tom tragically died aged 33 from an inoperable brain tumour in March 2022. Confirming his death in an Instagram post, she wrote: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side."
"Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world, and we can't imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence. We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom's light continues to shine for his beautiful children. Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I'm forever proud of you."
Kelsey met Will through mutual friends in 2024, two years after her husband's death.
