Katie Price, 48, has reportedly shocked the cast and crew of her daughter Princess Andre's ITV2 show The Princess Diaries after arriving on set with a bloodied and bruised appearance following corrective lip surgery. The former glamour model recently traveled to Brussels to remove scar tissue caused by migrated lip filler, a procedure she documented on social media.
Shock on Set
A source told The Sun: "The cast and crew were horrified.... Princess is used to her mum's antics but a lot of people were really shocked." The source added: "It seemed like an attention-grabbing move to make people talk about her – like she can't bear to be out of the spotlight for one moment." Katie remained off-camera during the first episode but features prominently in forthcoming episodes.
A representative for Katie responded: "Kate has been enjoying filming and has built a really positive relationship with the crew. She remains focused on her work and commitments."
Procedure Details
On her podcast The Katie Price Show, Katie told her sister Sophie she would undergo the procedure awake, without anaesthetic. "I'm doing it awake, not on anaesthetic... going to Brussels because it needs doing," she explained. After the surgery, she shared a selfie on Instagram showing her swollen lips, saying: "Hey guys, yes, before you start, I know what I look like. Yesterday, I was in Brussels and I had all the scar tissue taken out of my lips so they're really swollen at the moment." She urged followers to "trust the process."
Public Appearance and Further Surgery
Days later, Katie attended the London premiere of her Sky Original documentary Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, where her lips appeared less swollen, though a scar was visible under her nose. She wore a figure-hugging black dress and platform heels. Prior to the event, she hinted at more surgery, saying in a video: "Oh my God, my nose still looks wonky, but I'm going to have a nose job." In another clip, she mimicked her lips "quacking" while daughter Princess commented: "Her lips, don't approve." Katie remained unfazed, stating: "It is what it is trust the process. I'm still going to eat a burger, though."
