Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy shared a heartfelt tribute on what would have been the singer's 33rd birthday. The influencer took to social media on Saturday to post a montage of previously unseen photos of them together, along with a video of her blowing out candles in his honour.
Kate was dating the former One Direction singer when he died in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with alcohol and cocaine found in his system. They had been together for two years and shared a home in Florida.

Kate shared a series of photos and videos on Instagram on Saturday, writing: "Your birthday will always be your day. Loving you, remembering you, missing you always. Happy birthday Liam." The photos included Liam with their rescue dog Nala, on date nights including bowling, on various holidays, and relaxing in their garden.
The posts also captured Liam's carefree personality, with videos of him hiding in a wash basket, feeding a giraffe, and dancing. In another tribute, the model shared a video of herself adding Biscoff biscuits to a shop-bought birthday cake and blowing out the candles as she spoke about the late singer.
Kate's emotional words
Kate said: "Today is August 29th which is a very special someone’s birthday, this would now be year two of Liam not being here to physically celebrate his birthday. Someone once said when a person dies, they die twice - so they die the first time and then the second time when you stop talking about them. I am never going to stop talking about him, he was a huge part of my life and made me grow into the person I am today."
She added: "Biscoffs were like his favourite cookie ever, I used to make him little Biscoff cupcakes all the time." Kate continued to say that Liam was nothing like most celebrities, adding: "For those of you who don’t know Liam let me tell you - He was the most funniest, most handsome, smart, most kind soul that you’ll probably ever meet in your life. And there’s stigma around celebrities that they are so extra or whatever but Liam was so simple."

Kate recalled their last birthday together: "On Liam’s last birthday two years ago we went bowling, and we had cake in bed and it was just a really simple morning.
