Jeremy Clarkson Shuts Pub for Staff Party with Heartfelt Speech

Jeremy Clarkson shut down his pub, The Farmer's Dog, for a special evening dedicated to his 170 staff members. The closure was not due to any financial or operational issues but rather to host an enormous celebration in the pub's grounds, complete with Hawkstone beer and a stage where Clarkson delivered a heartfelt speech.

Staff Celebration at The Farmer's Dog

The pub announced the event on Instagram, stating: "We shut the pub for a night and took some time to celebrate with the 170 wonderful people who make it all happen at The Dog, in the kitchens, the pub, Hops&Chops and the Diddly Squat Farm Shop - in the tent as well as in the prep kitchen and the team from the car parks, and alongside some of our friends from Hawkstone who we rely on to keep our many bars flowing." The post continued: "We couldn't be more grateful to this wonderful team for making a visit to The Dog so special," and included the hashtag #BackBritishFarmingDrinkHawkstone.

Clarkson's Heartfelt Speech

From the stage, Jeremy Clarkson addressed his workers, saying: "Enjoy the evening. You are all absolute superstars. Thank you. Oh, and also the food's very good! But really, enjoy your evenings, guys." His partner, Lisa Hogan, was among the first to respond online, writing: "Epic night - thank you all for rocking it!"
