Hear'Say confirm reunion after 25 years as fans celebrate

British pop band Hear'Say have confirmed they are reuniting after 25 years. The group shared the announcement on Instagram on Thursday, October 1, with a video showing a group chat conversation among the stars.

The band, made up of Noel Sullivan, Suzanne Shaw, Myleene Klass, Kym Marsh and Danny Foster, formed on the ITV show Popstars in 2000. They are best known for their debut single, Pure and Simple, which topped the charts in 2001.

Band history and split

Hear'Say scored another number one single and completed a sell-out tour during their time together. However, after just 18 months, Kym quit the band. Johnny Shentall briefly joined after winning an audition process to replace her, but Hear'Say split later that year in 2002.

Announcement and fan reaction

In the Instagram video, Danny wrote: "Wow... can you believe the response to that tour clip we posted?!" Suzanne replied: "I know right, amazing! Ahhh the memories can you believe it was 25 years ago?!" Noel said: "Fancy getting the band back together..." The post was captioned: "25 years later…Sign up via the link in our bio."

Fans flooded the comments with excitement. One said: "It’s happening!! After ruining my childhood on the 1st October 2022, you have managed to reclaim the date." Another wrote: "NEEDED THIS FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS" and a third said: "Take my money!!!!!! Honestly dreams do come true!!!!"
