Hayden Panettiere took a fatal pill laced with fentanyl on the day she died, according to reports. The Heroes actress died aged 36 last month.

Drugs allegedly provided by dealer

Law enforcement sources have told TMZ that she allegedly took oxycodone laced with fentanyl, which is 50 times stronger than heroin. According to the news outlet, she was provided with several black-market prescription drugs, including oxycodone, by a drug dealer in Los Angeles.

The Mirror has reached out to the LAPD and South Carolina Police for comment and clarification.

Family statement and autopsy findings

Her death was confirmed last month through her representatives. Her father Skip said in a statement: “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen.”

The Coroner's office confirmed that Hayden's autopsy showed 'no signs of trauma' at the time of her death. It had been reported that the police were responding to a call about a suspected "cardiac arrest". A police report later revealed that both her ex Hickerson and his brother Zach were at the scene at the time of her death.

Emergency response and investigation

911 audio footage also heard dispatchers discuss a suspected overdose. Both Narcan and Epinephrine were reportedly brought to the scene by emergency services Panettiere's cause of death has not been announced at this time.
