The Guardian's The Birth Keepers and Today in Focus have been honoured at the 2026 British Podcast Awards. The Birth Keepers, a six-part narrative podcast series exposing how two influencers radicalised pregnant women around the world, won gold in the documentary category. Today in Focus, the Guardian's flagship daily news podcast, won silver in the daily category.

Awards celebrate UK podcasting

The British Podcast Awards champion the creators, producers, and platforms shaping the UK podcasting industry, recognising the creativity, talent, and passion driving the scene.

Today in Focus presenters Annie Kelly, Nosheen Iqbal, Helen Pidd and Lucy Hough were also jointly awarded silver in the best host category.

The Guardian was also shortlisted in the news, politics and current affairs and spotlight categories for Today in Focus, and in the sports category for Football Weekly.
