Glastonbury 2027 tickets: price, sale date, deposit and new queue system

Glastonbury 2027 tickets will cost £408 including a £5 booking fee, the first time general admission has broken the £400 barrier. That represents a £29.50 increase from the 2025 price of £378.50, and an increase of almost 8%.

The price hike has sparked debate among fans. Some have branded the cost 'ridiculous' and a 'complete scam', while others argue that five days at one of the world's biggest music festivals still represents good value compared with the cost of individual concerts. One person pointed out on X that a ticket cost just £87 in 2000, while another recalled paying £17 in 1986, writing: 'No wonder it is even more a narrow gathering of middle class types.'

Others were more forgiving. 'It's £80-£100 for a big venue gig now. I think £408 is fair for five days of massive acts,' one person argued. Another called it an 'absolute bargain' given the number of performances and other attractions included. One prospective festival-goer said: 'Oasis better be playing for that ticket price.'

When do Glastonbury 2027 tickets go on sale?

General admission tickets go on sale at 9am on Sunday, October 4. Coach-and-ticket packages went on sale on Thursday, October 1, and sold out within the first 30 minutes.

What is the new booking system?

Ticket buyers are now asked to enter their registration number before joining the queue, instead of after getting through the queue as in previous years. This new method gives buyers a unique place in the queue and means that using the same registration number on different devices does not give a different place in the queue.

The change has made some fans nervous. One fan told The Independent: 'If you've put in that effort into arranging a syndicate, researching all the tricks and things about VPNs and IP addresses, you feel like you deserve a better chance. Now this change minimises all that, but it has made it more fair, and I'm not against it at all. I do think it's interesting that [Glastonbury] didn't say they were making the change until yesterday.'

One fan warned on X: 'For Glastonbury sale on Sunday, be very careful not to queue in two devices at the same time. Now the system ask for your registration number BEFORE you can join the queue and then if you queue twice the queue ID is THE SAME. No matter if you are on a vpn or data besides wifi.'

Do you have to pay £408 immediately?

Tickets can be secured with a £100 deposit, with the remaining balance due during the first week of April. Children aged 12 and under can attend for free.

Anyone hoping to buy a ticket needs to be registered with Glastonbury beforehand. The deadline to register was 5pm BST on Friday, September 25.

When is Glastonbury 2027?

Glastonbury 2027 will take place at Worthy Farm from June 23 to June 27. The festival is returning after taking 2026 off as a scheduled fallow year.

The three Pyramid Stage headliners have not yet been announced. Harry Styles has been heavily tipped for a Worthy Farm appearance, while Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Rihanna, Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Radiohead, Fontaines D.C., Muse, Rod Stewart and The Rolling Stones have all been linked to the festival.

Emily Eavis has ruled out Madonna and Oasis as headliners. She said of Madonna: 'No, it's definitely not Madonna, I'll tell you that.' She confirmed that all three headline acts are taking shape, adding: 'We have got three [other] headliners and we're very excited about it – it's all coming together really well.'

The 2025 festival was headlined by The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo, with the line-up also featuring Charli XCX, Wolf Alice, Rod Stewart, Doechii and Kneecap, plus surprise performances from Pulp, Skepta and Haim.
