Prince Harry relocated back to the UK last week with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, and it’s no surprise their return has generated a lot of interest. While the couple, who quit royal duty in 2020, are not expected to become working royals again, their presence in the UK could see them make non-royal public appearances, especially for charity.
Possible Royal Family reunions
It could also see them reunite with some members of the Royal Family at certain events. This could include events such as Royal Ascot, weddings, royal church services, and general family get-togethers. This could be interesting, especially as Harry famously has some rifts with his royal relatives.
However, it seems that there is one member of the Royal Family in particular that royal fans want Harry to reunite with publicly at an event.
Poll results favour Peter Phillips
In a poll launched by The Daily Express on September 3 at 7am, we asked royal readers which royal they most wanted to see Harry reunite with. Out of over 1000 votes, 256 were in favour of Harry reuniting with Peter. In fact, Princess Anne’s son - who, like Harry, is not a working royal - had the most votes.
The other royal that readers wanted Harry to reunite with publicly was King Charles, with 217 people voting for this. The poll ran until 11.20am on September 5.
A once-close bond
People may be surprised that royal fans want to see Harry and Peter back together, especially since Peter did not invite The Duke of Sussex to his wedding just months ago. It was believed the lack of invite was because the once-close cousins have grown apart over the years. Neither Peter nor Harry commented on the matter.
While they may not be close anymore, it is believed the two royal men once shared a sweet bond, especially while growing up. This is likely to be down to the fact that they are both close in age, and both seem to have a down-to-earth personality that would have seen them get on well with one another.
There are not currently believed to be plans for Harry to make any public appearances with his royal relatives in the near future.
