Emmerdale spoilers have confirmed that Vinny Dingle’s (Bradley Johnson) future is looking bleak after he was arrested and charged for causing the crash which led to the deaths of Jimmy King (Nick Miles) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).
On the day of Dawn’s funeral this week, Vinny decided to come clean, telling grieving Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) that he was driving the car which led to the carnage. Nicola was appalled, as was Joe, while Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) punched him. Vinny was taken to hospital after collapsing, with Mandy (Lisa Riley) determined to get the police involved. Vinny, however, refused to incriminate Billy, believing Lucas and Clemmie had lost enough already. Nicola, meanwhile, phoned the police, with Vinny arrested and subsequently charged for his role in the accident.
Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) struggled to get his head around Vinny’s betrayal while Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) was kicked out of Home Farm. Joe, meanwhile, doubled down on his decision to give his newborn son up for adoption.

The aftermath of Vinny’s arrest will send shockwaves through the village, with his nearest and dearest struggling to cope with him facing prison. But it’s not just his loved ones that are hurting, with Jimmy and Dawn’s families heartbroken in the wake of finding out who was to blame for their beloved relatives’ deaths.
Carl Holliday (Charlie Joyce) is told news of Vinny’s involvement alongside Elliot (Luca Hoyle), but a big shock follows as he reveals to Nicola that he plans on making a video for Jimmy’s funeral – using voice notes of his dad that he found on his laptop.
Nicola is intrigued to know what voice notes he’s referring to and, panicked, she takes the laptop off him. The question is: just what will she discover about her dearly departed husband, who – according to Sadie (Patsy Kensit) – was cheating on her?
Fallout from the week's big plot points
Tomorrow’s episode will also no doubt deal with the fallout of big plot points from the week just past, from Joe burying Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) alive to Kim’s (Claire King) desire to keep her clan together.
