Charity, overwhelmed by the stalled police investigation and the secret of baby Leyla's true parentage, fled the village and stood by a lake in distress. Serena emerged from the trees, admitting she had been 'caught short,' and revealed she had previously worked as a Samaritan. She quickly sensed something was wrong and gently encouraged Charity to open up. Serena offered practical advice, pointing out that Caitlin Todd's blackmail proved the encounter was non-consensual.
